Fun things to do in NYC for my birthday this weekend?

18th BIRTHDAY in NYC THIS WEEKEND? any fun ideas?

my 18th birthday is this saturday the 20th, and either on friday or saturday I'm going to the city with my best friend. what are some fun things to do? I'm not into clubbing/bars etc. just some fun things to make this birthday memorable. ill be in time square.





do you think it would be better to on friday as a weekday or on saturday for a weekend? whats a good place to eat? i was thinking of Ellen's stardust diner, or Jekyll and hyde. what do you think??

i love nyc so much so here hope this helps

so empire state building is only 15 bucks which is definately low budget.

I went to Ellen's Stardust this past Feb before seeing Chicago. Great talent, but the food isn't "fabulous". If you like great show tunes, i'd personally say the talent makes up for the food.

Jekyll and Hyde (tho i never went there) but i've heard great things, and the food is good.

Some places you could go to are

-central park

-central park zoo

-fifth ave

technically low budget if you don't count taxi rides (soho and chinatown districts are very neat just DON'T GO AFTER DARK!!!)



if you need to use the bathroom definitely go to a big department store such as saks or bloomingdales (and make another "activity" by window shopping all the amazing things those stores have in them!)

you should definitely go to Lips which is a restaurant with entertainment in Greenwich Village. I was planning to do that for my 18th which is also in January but now i'm holding out until spring due to the bad weather. Check out www.LipsNYC.com ..its the restaurants website.
