Name some good and inexpensive things to do/see in NYC?

I'm going to new york city in 2 days w/ friends and we want to know the best things to see and do. Hopefully things that don't cost too much because we're college kids, we dont have THAT much money...

Lower Manhattan--World Trade Center site; South Street Seaport; Chinatown (eat at Wo Hop on Mott Street); Staten Island ferry (free, round trip is one hour, great view of the entire harbor)

Midtown--Times Square; United Nations (the gift shop is tax free); Empire State Building; Rockefeller Center. You might also find the main library at 42 St %26amp; Fifth Avenue interesting. It has exhibits and one of the largest book collections in the world.

Uptown--FAO Schwartz is an enormous hands on toy store with an ice cream parlor; Central Park and zoo (both are free); Metropolitan Museum of Art; Museum of Natural History/Rose Space CenterName some good and inexpensive things to do/see in NYC?

My friend, I hope this list is very helpful.

-take a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge

-take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry, its free and you can see the Statue the Liberty as the ferry crosses the harbor.

-take a view of the city from the top of the Empire State Building.

-take a walk through Central Park

-visit the museums on Fifth Avenue and the Museum of Natural History (you may have to pay a small donation when entering).

-take a sightseeing tour of the city on a double decker bus.

I hope this list was very helpful. Good luck and happy travel.Name some good and inexpensive things to do/see in NYC?
If you want to do the usual, then go with the above.

If you want to know what is going on at the moment - what New Yorkers may even be doing...Cool stuff that is happening now but may not be going on next week, pick up a copy of Time Out NY. It has a ton of free and cheap events that are unique, fun and cool without being touristy.

(They also include info on some of the touristy stuff.)

BONUS!!! Go to this link and you can print out a coupon that gets you $1 off the price of Time Out NY. They just sent this to me by e-mail. Have fun.

(If the link doesn't work e-mail me)
