Fun/Romantic things to do in NYC?

Im going to be in the city with my girlfriend in a week and was wondering if anyone had some good ideas for some things to do that would be fun/romantic. Im looking for unique ideas, not just sightseeing and shopping. any recommendations?Fun/Romantic things to do in NYC?
For fun-you can't beat some of the Comedy clubs-Improv, Dangerfield's-although it depends on whose playing.

Get a copy of New York magazine, it is on many news stands around the nation and gives you a complete guide to things.

Both the hansom cab ride and bike cab rides mentioned are nice--topped off with a kiss on top of the Empire State Building, which is not that far away (Central Park is 59th Street around 7th, Empire State is 34th and 5th)...

go online to Zagat.com and look at the NY City guide...they will tell you of romantic restaurants that may be near your hotel, and give you the lowdown for a small cost to subscribe, but you can access it from your laptop, or hotel computer, or ipod and search based on where you are at any given time.

The guide gives full description of the restaurant, many of which have their own web sites, and average cost...But do it now, because some of them have long waiting lists.

If you saw the movie "Hitch," Ellis Island and knowing your family name may be romantic.

Taking the tram at Roosevelt Island,

or the Staten Island Ferry past the Statue,

or if money is less of a deterrent, the Bateaux dinner cruise-which circles the island at night, so you get to see the skyline from all sides, and offers entertainment and dinner.

or walking across and taking pictures of the scenery as you cross the Brooklyn Bridge

My wife found walking along Wall Street and into the Canyon of Heroes, where the ticker tape parades are, at sunset, Federal Plaza--on a Saturday when nobody is around-was really nice if the weather is nice. Walking along the cobblestone streets.

Go either to the top of the Empire State Building or Top of the Rock (top of Rockefeller Center) and enjoy the view!

I also agree with the horse drawn carriages in Central Park, although those are expensive (back in 2001 it was nearly $60 for about half an hour for us!).

Two weeks ago, my fiance and I bought lunch and ate it at Bryant Park while people watching. It was nice too!Fun/Romantic things to do in NYC?
Walk around Manhattan at night. It's beautiful. Just don't get stabbed.Fun/Romantic things to do in NYC?
Take a horse-drawn carriage ride. There's nothing more romantic than that!
starting at rockerfeller center hire a bicycle cab and have the cab drive you down 7th ave or bdwy through the middle of times square at night. It's a great thrill ride.
