What are fun things to do in nyc on a weekend?

i live in nyc buut i have some kind of agoraphobia so i havent left the house most of the time ive been here. im over that and want to go out. i live in the bronx and want to go into manhattan to do something fun.

i grew up in the suburbs so ive already done all the tourist type things such as all the museums, boat rides, double decker bus, tours,times sqaure broadway plays,concerts



ive been to 34th street and macys and rockafellar center etc

i dont find that stuff fun and never really did



anyyways what is there to do for new yorkers? what do people who live in nyc do for fun. im sure they dont line up with tourists and go on walking tours and buy overpriced t shirts



are thre any hidden things to do for fun? i dont like alchohol and i am over 21 but i like kid friendly stuffWhat are fun things to do in nyc on a weekend?

Have you thought about touring some of the more historic places?



I once when into the city for a day with a friend just to visit as many historic churches as possible. We got to 18 of them

I like to take a stroll through central park and check out the street performers then head to some area to try a new restaurant. The summer is usually better though..that's when I'm always checking out free concerts. but you can do a host of other things. Find a show..I even went to fashion show once on a sunday(as a date really) and it was fun. There's all kinds of shows/events to check out. I've gone to an opera show to see what it was like(pretty good actually) but those have to be picked for your taste.

my problem is I've no good friend that enjoys such things so I'm not as active as I'd like to be. Anyway, join some activity posting sites and they will list things to do in the city. Sunday is football(espn zone)
