Try the East Village if you're the open-minded, alternative type.Things to do in NYC ?
OK, I live in NY and there's one thing I ALWAYS do when I go into the city.

You NEED to get a chicken and rice gyro from the world famous gyro cart.

Located at 6th avenue, 53rd street.

Ave of the Americas.

Theres gonna be a cart like on the corner street. The guys will be dressed in yellow.

Visit the first pizzeria that ever opened in the US. It's called Lombardi's. It opened around 1905. It's on 32 Spring street between mott and muberry streets. It's absolutely delicious and it really was the first ever pizzeria to open in the US. It's very crowded because it's very popular and they use the same brick oven that Mr. Lombardi used in 1905. So you get the exact same taste of pizza as people did in 1905. It's definately a NYC landmark to visit.

If you're a steak lover then you must visit Peter Luger Steak house. It's voted best steak house in NYC 25 years in a row. It's $65 per person but order the Porterhouse, you won't be dissapointed. You've NEVER tried a real steak unless you've tried a porterhouse in peter luger. I've been there, it's the best steak i've ever eaten and i've been to a lot of top notch steak houses.

Go to a broadway show or two a lot of great things are playing, there's always something new. You'll enjoy it, it's around $100+ a ticket but a great experience. If you don't want to pay $100, visit an off broadway show they're around $50 per person. My favorite and funniest off broadway show i've seen was Nonsense A man. Hilarious.

Go to the toys R us in Times square, it's the biggest toys r us in US. I'm sure your 13 year old sister will love it. Visit times square at night DON'T forget to visit times square, it's beautiful. It's like las vegas at night. Lights everywhere. Visit columbus circle at night or day because central park is across the street and if you're rich visit the Time warner mall. They have ONLY expensive brand name stores like Rolex and Gucci. Columbus circle is an expensive neigbhorhood, a Ferrari or Bentley near the time warner is like a honda or toyota on a typical american neighbhorhood. Meaning you'll see 10 on each block.

Are you into museums? visit the Metropolitan museum of art, i've been there 2 times for school but really a great learning experience. Well since you too young for 21+ clubs i can't recommend visiting Bungalo 8. Only go to bungalo 8 if you're 21 older have cash and like to hang out with celebrities.

Visit China town there are a lot of knockoffs you can buy in chinatown so watch out for that. Someone will sell you a Gucci bag spelling Guchi. LOL There are soo many more places to visit but can't think of all now.
