Here's a good one: tell her that you are going to help her pick out an amazing new outfit in NYC something that is trendy but will keep her warm...maybe go shopping one day with her and have her try on different outfits for you, then have her wear the outfit for the rest of the day :) maybe while you do all of the other suggested activities,

It's christmas time, so take a walk by the shops on fifth avenue, then see the tree at rockefeller center and go ice skating- with some hot chocolate on the side. You can always go to the top of the Empire State Building, too.



Pick something she's interested in-museums can actually be a great date, try the MOMA or the Met. When it's a bit warmer, the Bronx Zoo and the Botannical Gardens are surprisingly fun and romantic as well, although not in that cliche, carriage ride way. For something silly, stop by FAO Schwartz or get cupcakes at Magnolia bakery in the village. Sometimes the most memorable times are at unexpected places.



For regular romance beyond carriage rides and ice skating, I'd suggest going out for an evening of jazz music. I would reccommend Dizzy's Club Coca Cola at lincoln center. It has a breathtaking view, excellent food, and some top-notch jazz performances. It's a very classy and romantic date. Iridium has a nice, intimate underground atmosphere as well.
