What cheap things are there to do in NYC from christmas til Jan.3? Anything fun and inexpensive?

I'm sure only Newyorkers could tell me wuts going on but I'm visiting my dad for the first time there and I want to have some things in mind that I want to do. I want to watch the ball drop already but I know it's gunna be crazy around there!

GO SEE THE TODAY SHOW AT ROCKERFELLER CENTER. IT IS OUTDOORS AND FREE.

VISIT THE METROPOLITIAN MUSEUM OF ART.

Just stroll in and out of the stores. Since you did not tell us what Borough you are visiting it is hard to suggest anything in particular.

Staten Island Ferry from Lower Manhattan to Staten Island is FREE. It runs about every 1/2 hour each way. More often during the rush hours.



Ice Skating is FREE at Bryant Park. :)
