Fun things to do in NYC?

Hey, Im going to NYC tomorrow with my girlfriend. Im looking for fun/cheap things to do. I read the Musuem of Natural History is free unless you want to pay the suggested price. Is Central Park good? Only been to NYC once.

There is a lot to do that is cheap or even free!



You should ride the Staten Island Ferry. It has an indoors that is warm and you can still see the great views. But stepping outside briefly in the slight cold is worth the view. It's a free ride. Can't go wrong!



Ice Skating in Bryant Park is fun too. If you have your own skates, it's free! Plus it's surrounded by the Holiday Village. So if you like to shop, then you will enjoy all the little boutique stores there.



Most of the museums in the city have a pay-as-you-wish day. So pay what you want and you can get in. There are also some free shows at Lincoln Center if you are into that type of stuff.



I love Asian food. It's delicious and cheap. There are several places that offer 5 dumplings for $1. And they are so good! You know it's good when the locals eat there too! Also regular Chinese food is quite cheap. There are a lot of places there that offer great food for a low price. One of my favorite places is shanghai Cafe Deluxe. It's a bit pricy but really good. There is Wo Hop which is good too and cheap. But it can be hit or miss. The fresh hand pulled noodle place is great and affordable. A big bowl of noodle soup for like $5. Can feed two people. The noodles are super long where they even give you scissors to cut it!



Little Italy has nice bakeries.



SoHo would be fun too. There are a lot of cool, unique stores all around selling the latest fashions. Affordable? I guess that's relative to who is asking... But you could end up with a one of a kind!



There is a lot more and I could go on and on. Oh and if you like pizza, you can surprisingly get a decent $1 slice! Check out Two Bros.

walk very very slow down a crowded sidewalk



sit on the red tall benches in the middle of times square and bring a kareoke machine and sing bad



food testing. go to stores and tell them your a tourist and ask for a sample
