it's my 18th birthday, so I'm looking for something more interesting than a museum.
Thanks =)Fun things to do in NYC?
Food is more expensive in the city than in most places (I'm talking about in restaurants, not a hot dog stand). One idea is a food/entertainment restaurant such as Jekyll and Hyde. I've been there a few times and it's really fun, the food is good too. The only downside is that it's pretty expensive.
There are a lot of other things you could do too. Like go to Rockefeller Center and go ice skating. Visit the department stores and go shopping, etc...Fun things to do in NYC?
my family and I went on an open top double decker bus tour, it drops you off very close to where you can get on a ferry to see ellis island and the statue of liberty. it's also a great way to get restaurant opinions from the locals.
My Broadway picks: Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray
Restaurants: John's Pizza, Roxy Deli (times square), and Pasquilino'sFun things to do in NYC?
I can understand not wanting to stroll through a museum on your 18th birthday-but! If you have any remote interest in art or history, you MUST go to the MET-Metropolitan Museum of Art. It's a donation policy admission which means you pay what you can afford. There are so many things to see and being with friends there can be fun. Throw a little culture in!Fun things to do in NYC?
Go to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater for some improv comedy. Most nights it's only $5.00 a show.
