Things to do in NYC in February?

My friend and I are visiting NYC this February and we were wondering what is good to do in the city. We already have our touristy things lined up (the met, empire state building, st. patrick,s cathedral) but what would you recommend for non touristy entertainment? Thanks!Things to do in NYC in February?
Even though you think you are too old at 15 for these shops i would recommend Toys'r'us times square as its amazing! Go on the indoor Ferris Wheel as well as that is something different, also the Disney Store (if you are a girl as 15 yr old boys are obviously different) im 20 and loved both them shops.

M%26amp;M's world is a must, most people say its expensive however i didn't think it was bad value.

There are plenty of shoe/trainer shops.

Clothing - Personally i wanted to go to Ed Hardy which NYC's flagship store is in SoHo, if you do go to SoHo dont get the red line train if you get the subway as you then have to walk through Canal Street which wasn't a pleasant experience with myself, my parents and my two younger brothers. Get the subway that will lead you to a part of Broadway which will have other good shops and places like Ed Hardy are a two minute SAFE walk.

Other places to visit;

* Statue of Liberty

* Empire State Building

* Central Park - check what parts you want to see as it is massive!

* Times Square

* Where the twin towers were and the 9/11 museum (well worth visiting) Century 21 is right by there as well which is a major department store and sell clothing and perfume/aftershave at very good prices.

* Wall Street and the Wall Street Bull

February still belongs to winter, with the weather between 32掳F (4掳C)- 29掳F (-3掳C), but it is a little warmer and less likely to rain, if you don't fear the cold, you will have some great choice.

is Chinatown on your schedule? i think you will like to pay a visit there, particularly at that time of the year, people there will celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year in February. by then, the whole chinatown will be decorated according to traditional chinese culture. couplets, red lanterns, firecrackers, chinese knots, people dress in new clothes, looking very happy. all kinds of things and foods are sold on the market. there is no better time to appreciate chinese culture.

and then there is Valentine's day. whether you are coming with your bf/gf or common friend, you can't miss the romantic destinations here, the Temple Bar, Flute, Top of the Tower are excellent bars to kill the nights, you will definitely have a really good time. there are some romantic restaurants too, like The Place, The River Cafe

go shopping. many shops at this time will be on post-holiday clearance sales, you can get what you want at very cheap price. but you can't stay outside all the time since the weather is not good enough for that. you can stay indoors to visit the museums and art galleries.

but it's very unlucky that the Statue of Liberty will be closed by then. i hope this helps.
