ive been to philly for cheesesteaks and ball games and also to a lot of big things in nyc (stadiums, empire state building etc) but am open to smaller things like rock shows or hole in the wall diners.
i would really appreciate any and all helpI'm moving from nj to texas and need an amazing list of things to do in the northeast before i go. please?
Gamble,nightlife, and set up a show at Atlantc city for the weekend. Recommend warmer temp.
Seaside heights or Point pleasant for the summer.
Snowboarding in Penn, or up at mountain creak in NJ.
Broadway shows in NY
make a day out of six flags great adventure
Drag races/monster trucks shows at Englishtown raceway.....thought it would be lame, but it's pretty cool if you go near starting line to watch the top fuel and jet cars take off....Bring ear plugs and make sure it's a big event though.
Stress factory comedy club in New Brunswick - sometimes gets decent names in there, make a night out of it, many clubs/bars near by.
Red Bank - night life - If you like mexican food, Carlos O'connors is pretty damn good, and Basil T's is great for italian(also has own brewery). It's a small town with a slight city feel. The count Basie theatre is there too, so you may want to check out if there are any shows you want to see.
See a show at Starland Ballroom.
Bar A - is packed on tues. nights in summer. 1 dollar drinks...if you're single it may be a good night.
