What are fun things to do in NYC with the family?

Hey can you literally give me EVERYTHING I can do there? But stuff kinda cheap because there is 6 of us. Also suggest your favorite restaurants and fun things to do that everyone will enjoy but no museums. Like can you name some fun activities we can all do? ThanksWhat are fun things to do in NYC with the family?
-Empire State (I would consider buying the Express tickets in advance. It is a little more expensive, but you will save a few hours in line)
-Top of the Rock (Another observation deck. The elevator is amazing...kids will love it. We went to this at night, and the views were great)
-Statue of Liberty (It is an experience to go there)
-Madame Toussaud's Wax Museum (Simply cool. Over 200 wax figures!)

Planet Hollywood is a great restaurant.
Kitchenette in TriBeCa is a cute little bakery and breakfast place
Hard Rock Cafe is great

Sprinkles Cupcakes is in NYC, so if you want a good, cheap cupcake from the judge of 'Cupcake Wars', you can go there!

NBC Studio Tour and Radio City Stage Door Tours are amazing...both recommend. What are fun things to do in NYC with the family?
There is so much to do that nobody can possibly list EVERYTHING there is. I'll add onto what some of the others have said.

NY Transit Museum (kids will love the trains)

Museum of Natural History (everyone loves that place)

Chinatown

Grand Central (avoid at all costs during rush hour however, keep in mind it's a working train station for hundreds of thousands of commuters on a regular work day)

Yankee Stadium, especially for a game, is my favorite.
Even you say no museums, there are lots of great places for children.

Sony Wonder Technology Lab: Close Monday and always free. It is one of most family enteritainment.

New York City Transit Museum in downtown Brooklyn which cost $5 adult and children might be free depends on age. It stores all vintage fleet.

During December during early morning rush hour and evening rush hour, MTA might officer vintage bus (old antique buses) for Christmas holiday.

On Every Sunday properly starting Nov 27th, vintage trains run on weekday (M) train route between Queens Plaza and 2nd Av (F) Station bet 10-4.

And you could also see Little Red Lighthouse at Ft. Washington Park entrance by 181st St/Hudson River. What are fun things to do in NYC with the family?
