What are the good && bad things about living in NYC ?

- Im thinking about going to NYU in 2013 . ( thee world is still gonna be up ) lol . Like the living life rent, people,crime,food cost, clothing, do we have to pay taxes on clothes . . umm ? what parts should i avoid . . . tell me everything you know . even your experiences .What are the good %26amp;%26amp; bad things about living in NYC ?
it's an expensive lifestyle (rent 4 a decent place at least 1150 a month) But it is safer because there is a lot of patroling police around. avoid the bronx and staten island. food is higher there because it is supplied off-state and is considered an import. There also is a tax on clothes, that's why people go to jersey to shop.What are the good %26amp;%26amp; bad things about living in NYC ?
I have been wondering the same thing. I will be moving there in 2012:)
