I want to play a game of 21 things/scavenger hunt, where you have to find something or do something and take a pic, but have no idea what to make people do/look for. I'd recommend picking a neighborhood and finding 21 things around that area rather than using all of NYC. It could take you days otherwise.
Maybe the Central Park area? The Zoo, Boathouse, Bethesda Fountain, the Metropolitan Museum, joggers at the Reservoir, the Guggenheim, Plaza Hotel, Apple store, Carousel, sunbathers on the Great Lawn, etc.
