What is the best things to do in NYC?

My friends and I are planning a trip for 5 days. And we want to know where you would suggest is the best places for shows and shopping and entertainment.What is the best things to do in NYC?
NYC is Great! I suggest you to go to the Rockefeller Center. It is really cool and fun to be in there, you would enjoy the shops, ice skating rink, museums, and the city itself. I also would suggest you to visit Time Square, and Broadway Theater. There are awesome areas and places in New York City. You will love it! Enjoy!What is the best things to do in NYC?
I liked the huge meteorites I saw at this great museum ( it would take half a day to see everything in thare, though the last hour of the day is free of charge... I believe it is called The Museum of Science and Natural History ?, like about west 59th street, across the the street from Central Park. John Lennon's old house is just near thare too and the Strawberry Fields Memorial. Also about west 62nd street they have a 3-D Imax theater. Good and cheap packaged Chinese food across the street. Thare is a nice shopping mall about west 59 th street? Just several blocks south of the museum, a stones throw from Central Park!

Entertainment:

Cloisters Museum- Start here (1~2 hours)- Take M4 bus or A to 145th/125th Sts for B/C to 86th St, then take M86 bus to MET. Same day admission.

Metropolitan Museum of Art- takes about 5 days.

If you go on Friday and Saturday, you could enjoy the nice concert from Great Hall Balcony Bar from 5pm.

Fashion Museum at FIT (Free)

Frick Collection: $15 per person and AUDIO GUIDE IS FREE!! It contains more Vermeer paintings.



Shopping:

East 86th St from Park-2nd Avenues (Strawberry, Gaps, MODEL'S, etc. Clothes shop along 86th St has great discount.



Madison Av from 86th to 57th St.

They have lots of store does many discount.

Shows:

ACME Empire 25 on 42nd St/8th Av has best movie.

Imax Theater at Bronx Zoo

Imax Theater at American Museum of Natural History

Big Bang show at AMNH's Rose and Space Center.

It talks about 15-min. Free with AMNH/Space Center ticket.

Space Show: It's around $29 but very interesting but you need ticket in order to go to take elevator to space show.

Music Underground hosted by MTA Art for Transit- somewhere along the stations, you could listen to lots of perfomance.

At Grand Central Terminal, between 42nd St Shuttle and Lexington Avenue Passegeway, lots of straphangers CROWD UP because they love it.

Also, Times Square Station near 1/2/3 Platforms also have huge crowd!!
