Please go to Top of the Rock Observation deck. It is so not cliche. It is my favorite place--and I've lived in New York my entire life! They are the greatest views of the city you can find.

Take a walk on the High Line down on the west side of Manhattan. You might see someone like Jerry Seinfeld or James Gandolfini walking around.
