What are some summer fun things to do in NYC?

I am orignally from Albany, New York and I am taking my boyfriend with me on my family vaca in 2 weeks. We are going to go to the city at the end of our trip and I am looking for some fun stuff to plan. He is going to be turning 21 the week before we go so i want to make sure he has the best time. We already booked our hotel at the Stay which seems like it should be a nice place to stay? If anyone has any fun ideas or places I can take him it would be so so helpful! What are some summer fun things to do in NYC?
