If you're going to be in Manhattan, I say try going to the Virgin Records store, and some of the museums such as: the Natural History Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art. Of course, you can always just walk down 5th avenue. :D
Personally, I think that China Town and Flushing are also great places to go. The Elizabeth Street Center in China Town is great place to get some shopping done. In Flushing, I highly recommend the East Jade Asian Restaurant (dim sum) and SAGO (tea house). What are the funnest things to do in nyc?
One thing you do not want to miss are the Broadway shows. They are really amazing, and it would be really fun to go and see one. What are the funnest things to do in nyc?
There's so much to do - this is what I did the last time I went to NYC. I went on the Gossip Girl tour that lasted 3 hours.. it took us to the MET which is so cool.. and gives you a great spot to take an awesome photo.
But what I really enjoyed was going to Dylans Candy Bar on 3rd Ave and 60th street. They have candy everywhere.. on the floor.. in the stairs.. its amazing.. they even have a bath tub full of gum balls and all the candy imaginable. They have awesome cupcakes, icecream and fondue on the 3rd floor!
After that we walked down 60th street towards 2nd Ave and went to Serendipity.. they have this frozen hot chocolate. It is to die for! It is so yummy!! Its a very big cup and it costs $8 and they also have many deserts to choose from as well.
I took a cab from the MET whcih is on 82nd and 5th Ave to Dylans Candy Bar. The cab ride cost me a little over $5.
After Serendipity we walked the 3 big blocks to Central Park where we went Ice Skating- it costs $10 to get in and rent skates. And this ice rink is 3 times the size of Rockefeller and its not crowded at all. It was so nice to take pictures with Central Park in the background. Its a great experience.
After Ice-Skating we walked down 5th Ave and hit up the Apple Store and FAO Schwartz-then we walked down further and went into the Disney Store on 57th and 5th ave. WOW is that store amazing-I came out of there with 2 big bags of stuff =)
Across the street they have the biggest Abercrombie %26amp; Fitch store- you have to wait in line outside but the line moves fast. They also have Tiffanys and Louibuton and Coach and all those other high end stores as well on 5th Ave.
After 5th Ave we cut down 49th street to 6th Ave (Avenue of the Americas) and saw Radio City Music Hall and they have tons of cool fountains to take pics infront of on 6th Ave and Rockefeller is right next to and behind Radio City Music Hall. Theres a small ice skating rink there as well.
We continued down 49th street - 1 block and we were in the heart of Times Square! Yes it is mobbed with people but its worth it. The M%26amp;M store is really cool and you can take pics with huge M%26amp;M's. Its really cool.
Food in Times Square is expensive and not so good. But the best places I have eaten at is the Olive Garden across the street from the M%26amp;M store and the ESPN Zone across from the new American Eagle store.. this store is my favorite by far. It is gigantic! lol
We ended our trip where it began at Penn Station.. we went up on the Empire State Building which costs $20 and we saw the whole city. The pictures and the experience was breath-taking! The huge Macy's is across the street and the windows always have great displays!
Thats pretty much what I did in a full day. It was so much fun and you will have a great time!!
