What are some free things to do in NYC on December 11th?

My friends and I are going with our college to NYC for the day but we don't have a lot of money. So, we wanted to know if anyone has suggestions for things to do. We don't mind being outside in the cold either. What are some free things to do in NYC on December 11th?
As long as you don't mind being outside, I'd suggest Central Park, High Line Park, Public Library (think Ghostbusters), Brooklyn Bridge, and the Staten Island Ferry. It'd be tough to walk between those sites, so your one cost would be a subway pass if you decided to see them all. I've always enjoyed walking some of the more interesting neighborhoods like Chinatown. What are some free things to do in NYC on December 11th?
Central Park is free and it was definitely one of the best days out I had when I was in NYC. =) Also the 'Sony Wonder Lab' is fantastic and that is free! =) it's best to pre-book before you go though as tickets go fast, but you can also book them on the day too if you get there early =)

Most of the sightseeing things are free too such as seeing buildings such as the 'Chrysler Building', 'Rockefeller Centre', 'Empire State' (from the outside and the bottom floor). You can always go in shops such as the lego shop at the Rockefeller centre and not buy anything. There was a game that you could play in the lego shop %26amp; even though I'm 18 I had a go at it! =D Times Square is also a perfect place to be! You can see the naked cowboy, sit on the red steps and take fun photos =) There's definitely a lot that you can do for free =DWhat are some free things to do in NYC on December 11th?
