Anyway, I'd like to do as much as possible on this vacation because we won't be able to leave home for quite a while (after may) so... i want to make this a great trip.
Would 7 days be too much? Can you tell me the must sees/dos in the city.. or even not in the city... things near nyc?
thanks!Things to do/see in nyc? how long should i go?
Broadway and/or off broadway plays, Mets and/or yankee game, Radio City Music Hall, museums for anything you are interested in from dinosaurs to modern art to toys to broadcasting history, St. Patrick's Catherdral, chinatown, empire state building, statue of liberty, nightlife of all kinds, ellis island tour, ride the staten island ferry, , the Bronx Zoo, walk across the brooklyn bridge, see times square, all kinds of restaurants. LaGuardia is one of the major airports in NY. It is not a town. JFK is the other. They are both in Queens. FYI, New York City is comprised of five boroughs...Manhattan (which is what most outoftowners think of as NYC), Queens,Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Staten Island. If you really want to make it great, book a hotel in Manhattan. You'll be glad you did. 7 days in Queens is a bore. If you stay in Queens (near LaGuardia airport), you will not be in the heart of the city and will need to drive in or take the subway or the train to get in. You will be bored in Queens unless you plan to fill your days with outings. Wherever you stay, Have a good time.Things to do/see in nyc? how long should i go?
